The U.S. president was on his way to Camp David on Sunday when he pulled a classic Joe Biden move and stumbled on the steps.

He managed to grab onto the handrail and righted himself before continuing up the stairs.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio, accompanying Trump, also slipped on his way up the steps to board the plane.

Trump has previously mocked former President Biden for having trouble making it onto Air Force One unscathed.

In 2023, at the Air Force Graduation ceremony in Colorado, Biden tripped and fell to his knees.

Trump and his supporters were quick to mock Biden for the fall, with Trump describing it as “not inspiring” for the graduates to have seen.

“I hope he wasn’t hurt. I hope he wasn’t hurt…You don’t want that,” he later added at a campaign event in Iowa.

He then brought up the moment he gingerly made his way down a ramp at the Army’s West Point graduation in 2020, comparing the scene to someone navigating an ice-skating rink.

“The whole thing is crazy, you have got to be careful about that, you don’t want that even if you have to tip-toe down a ramp,” Trump said.

In July 2023, as he was attacking the Biden administration’s competence, Trump once again brought up Air Force One.

Joe Biden can’t even walk up a flight of stairs on Air Force One and he can’t put two sentences together,” he said.

Later that year, Trump also said Biden used the “children’s stairs” on Air Force One and that he couldn’t even make it up or down those.

But Trump himself is now the subject of mockery for his trip up the steps, with many social media users recalling how often he criticized Biden for falling.

Using his own words against him, one user wrote: “Donald Trump can’t even walk up a flight of stairs on Air Force One…We have somebody that doesn’t have a clue representing us.”

“When Joe Biden did stuff like this, Fox would play the clips over and over like it was as significant as the moon landing,” another added.

“I’m surprised he hasn’t replaced those stairs with a portable escalator of some kind,” a third said.

Republicans Against Trump reshared the video with the caption “Weak. Feeble. No stamina. Can’t put two sentences together. Trump is the laughingstock of the world.”

The incident came after Trump deployed the National Guard to Los Angeles amid ongoing anti-ICE protests over the weekend.

So far, 2,000 troops have been deployed to the state and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said active-duty Marines are also on standby.

Trump has also ordered the arrest of anyone wearing a face mask during the protests, sparked by multiple ICE raids across the city.

He posted on Truth Social, “Looking really bad in L.A. BRING IN THE TROOPS!!!” and later added, “ARREST THE PEOPLE IN FACE MASKS, NOW!”

California Governor Gavin Newsom has strongly condemned the decision to deploy the National Guard – marking the first time they have been activated without a state governor’s request since 1965.
