Another Republican politician has popped the big question to a Fox News reporter.
Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich got engaged to Pennsylvania Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick in a lavender field in France on June 29, PEOPLE reported.
The couple were on a dream trip to the South of France that had to be cut short due to the vote on Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, Heinrich told PEOPLE.
- Fox News correspondent Jacqui Heinrich got engaged to Pennsylvania Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick during a trip to a lavender field in France.
- Their engagement follows just days after GOP Rep. Guy Reschenthaler proposed to Fox News Digital reporter Brooke Singman in New York.
- Two Republican lawmakers and two Fox News reporters are now engaged within the same week, highlighting a trend of political-media pairings.

But that didn’t spoil the big moment when Fitzpatrick got down on one knee in a picturesque lavender field to ask her to spend the rest of their lives together, she said.
“He was like, ‘We are going. We’re going to the lavender fields. All I want is to see the lavender fields at sunrise,’ ” Heinrich told PEOPLE.
“All the time I’ve known this man, he has never been desperate to see a field of flowers at dawn. So I had a feeling that [a proposal] was the goal.”
“He didn’t ask for any help from me or anyone I know. So I was really surprised he got it spot-on. What I could have asked for, dreamed up myself, he did without even asking,” she added.

Their engagement came just days after another GOP and Fox News pairing made headlines.
Pennsylvania representative Guy Reschenthaler proposed to his partner Brooke Singman on June 22, Politico’s Playbook reported.
Singman, who works for Fox News Digital as a reporter and political correspondent, was asked the big question in Central Park, New York.

The pair only connected last year at a Trump campaign event in October 2024, but just one month later, Reschenthaler broke up with his wife, according to the Daily Beast.
Their paths crossed again in January when Singman turned up at Bistrot Du Coin in Washington, D.C. to meet Reschenthaler armed with her laptop.
While she thought the meeting would yield her some exclusive content, it ended up being the couple’s first date, Playbook reported.

That marks two Republican lawmakers and two Fox News reporters now engaged — all in the same week.
There are several other high-profile couples who make-up Trump administration and Fox News pairings.
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is married to Fox News producer Jennifer Rauchet, while Trump’s new interim NASA head Sean Duffy is married to Fox News personality Rachel Campos-Duffy.
While romantic pairings between Fox News personalities and Republican politicians seem harmonious, Trump’s relationship with the right-wing network has at times been fraught.
The outlet runs stories that amplify and support Trump administration policies, but he has criticized the network for other editorial decisions.

This includes airing unfavorable poll results, such as a Fox segment in April 2025 highlighting declining public support for Trump’s economic policies amid rising prices from new tariffs.
Trump responded by attacking the network on social media, calling the polling “fake” and accusing Fox News of siding with globalists.
He also lashed out at Fox’s leadership, including Rupert Murdoch and network executives.
“Rupert Murdoch has told me for years that he is going to get rid of his FoxNews, Trump Hating, Fake Pollster, but he has never done so,” Trump said on Truth Social at the time.

“This ‘pollster’ has gotten me, and MAGA, wrong for years.”
He has also previously complained that Fox was not giving enough favorable coverage of his legal battles or political victories.
While the network has continued to boost many of his signature policies—including his “One Big Beautiful Bill”—Trump’s relationship with Fox could be described as tense and transactional.
But the outlet remains closely tied to the Trump administration, regularly hosting its officials and solidifying its role as a favored news outlet among Trump and his supporters.
Figures like Kristi Noem and Pam Bondi have made multiple appearances on Fox News to discuss policy and defend the administration’s agenda.
Fox News also secured the first sit-down interview with Trump after his return to office in January 2025.
The interview, conducted by Sean Hannity on January 22, 2025, in the Oval Office, marked Trump’s first one-on-one interview since resuming the presidency.
JC, shut down this network and put Poopy Pants and his whole regime in jail. Thumbs up is the signal he just shiit himself, and needs help changing his diaper. Oh, wait, never mind, it looks like he wiped it off on his face.
