According to an affidavit obtained by People, Jacas began having lunch with the pupil, now 16, because “he had issues fitting in and associating with the right crowd.”
During the lunches, which began at the start of the 2022-23 school year, Jacas and the boy grew closer, but she is accused of trying to isolate him from other students.
Their physical intimacy initially started with hugs and a kiss on the cheek, the boy told investigators, but it grew into more.
The boy’s mother reportedly caught the pair texting at 1 a.m. one morning, and told them it had to stop because it was “abnormal,” according to the affidavit.

But this didn’t deter Jacas, who is accused of creating a fake Instagram profile to continue communication with the boy outside of school hours.
Using the Instagram account, Jacas allegedly engaged in “dirty talk” and sent a message saying: “I just had sex with my husband and it wasn’t the best but I imagined it was you,” according to People.
Then, shortly before spring break in 2023, Jacas allegedly readied her classroom to have sex with the boy, details in the affidavit show.
She allegedly covered the windows in her classroom with active assailant curtains to block anyone from seeing inside, and set up a pillow in the corner of the room.
According to the affidavit, Jacas then had sex with the boy and did not offer him any form of protection.
She is further accused of sexually abusing the boy every day before spring break started.
During the holiday, Jacas’ husband uncovered the alleged abuse and he contacted the boy while pretending to be his wife.
“[Jacas] called [the alleged victim] from an unknown number and told [the alleged victim] her husband found out about their relationship and for [the alleged victim] to ‘lay low’ because her husband” was angry, Deputy Sheriff Kyle Cole wrote in the affidavit, as People reported.
The boy told investigators that Jacas did not return to teach in the final weeks of the school year.
The principal of Corner Lake contacted parents after Jacas was arrested and confirmed there was an ongoing investigation.

“I can assure you I take all allegations very seriously and there is an ongoing investigation by law enforcement and the district’s Office of Professional Standards,” a message read, according to Fox News.
“Although I cannot discuss employee matters, please know this person will not be returning to campus pending the outcome of the investigation.”
Jacas appeared in court on June 24 after her arrest the day prior and has not yet entered a plea.
She was released from the Orange County Detention Facility on a $19,000 bond.
